Ole Jacob was captured as a prize ship and sent first to Japan and then to France, carrying a cargo of aviation fuel and the captured prisoners from Ole Jacob and Teddy.   • German General Erich von Manstein launched a major assault against Sevastopol, Ukraine with 50th Infantry Division, followed by the 132nd Infantry Division on the next day.
