BOMBER SCHOOL:

Marking on tail of the Ki-48 Lily is for the Hokota Army Light Bomber Flying School. Aircraft next to the Lily is the Nakajima Ki-49 Donryu (Helen) bomber

DARLING LILY:

After the Japanese surrender
August 1945 thousands of Japanese aircraft were scrapped, US forces shipped
over one hundred examples of aircraft for testing and evaluation.
Even the Kawasaki Ki-48 was among them shipped as FE-1202 and later scrapped Park Ridge, Ca.1950

wasn't the one shipped to the USA after WWII...
Another survivor is on display today in Communist China wearing PLAAF markings
