Most Chinese I-16s were camouflaged in dark green uppersurface with light blue undersurface. Engine cowling was painted black on some, but not all I-16s fuselage carried aircraft number, rudder marked with white and blue stripes, wing markings top and bottom were Chinese twelve-pointed sun in blue and white.
CHINESE ACE:
Colonel Liu Che-Sun shotdown 9 Japanese aircraft, he was later killed in action 1938
