ww2dbaseHauptmann B. E. M. Pierre Pauly was made the commanding officer of the Belgian volunteer Walloon Legion in Jan 1942. In this role he participated in a successful defense of the village of Gromovayabalka in eastern Ukraine against the Soviets. He was replaced by Hauptmann George Tchekhoff in Mar 1942.
