ww2dbaseJuana Bormann was born in Birkenfelde, Kingdom of Prussia in central Germany. Starting in 1938, she was a guard at facilities run by the SS organization of the Nazi Party, and through the end of the war she had served in Lichtenburg (1938), Ravensbrück (1939-1942, Jan-Mar 1945), Auschwitz (Oct 1942-1944), and Bergen-Belsen (Mar-Apr 1945) camps. She was known for her cruelty against prisoners, including using a dog to attack prisoners. Between Sep and Nov 1945, she was tried at the Belsen trial in Lüneburg in northern Germany for crimes committed at Auschwitz Concentration Camp in Oswiecim, Poland. Found guilty, she was hanged at Hamelin, Germany in Dec 1945.
