Photo taken 1945 Lily was assigned to the 16th Sentai, 1st Chutai in China. this unit was also equipped with Ki-84 (Frank) fighters and Ki-45 (Nick) twin-engine fighters.
Surviving aircraft were used by both the Communist and Nationalist Chinese after WWII many soldiered on into the early 1950s.

Ki-48IIb(Lily)could belong to 2nd Chutai, 16th Sentai, New Guinea April 1944.
