FERRY FLIGHT:
North American B-25B by 1941 the Mitchell was in squadron service. The Bendix upper turret mounted 2 x .50 caliber machine guns w/400 rpg
DOOLITTLE RAID: KEEP'EM GUESSING
Sixteen B-25's took part in the famous raid over Japan. Did you know to keep Japanese fighters from attacking behind, Doolittle installed two wooden broomsticks that were painted black
other crews did the same, from a distance they looked like 2 x .50 caliber guns, on that April 16, 1942 raid.
