Tony LaViere, Chief Test Pilot for Lockheed
Aircraft bought a war surplus P-38 Lightning
for $2,500 thats 1940's Dollars.
The fighter had less than 20 hours flying time, since it was built, Tony paid for the
P-38, did his pre-flight inspection, and flew the fighter back to Burbank, California.
Today a P-38 Lightning is worth Millions!
