Hard Work Continues
For many Americans, the POW/MIA symbol is closely associated with the war in Vietnam and rightfully so. However, a recent group of military professionals (part of the POW/MIA Accounting Command) spent serveral months in Europe searching for several of the remaining 78,000 missing servicemen from World War II.
Team member Marine Sgt. Thaddeus Land said ā[i]f Iām on foreign soil and get killed, I know my brothers will come back someday to get me.ā
