Anzio Operational Timeline

27 Aug 1943 Casablanca-class escort carrier Coral Sea was placed in commission at Astoria, Oregon.
20 Nov 1943 Aircraft from carriers USS Corregidor, Coral Sea, and Liscombe Bay strike Makin Island as part of the Gilbert Island Campaign.
25 Feb 1944 Carriers USS Corregidor and USS Coral Sea with destroyers USS Nicholas, USS LaVallette, and USS Taylor departed Kwajalein, Marshall Islands as escorts to bound for Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
3 Mar 1944 Carriers USS Corregidor and USS Coral Sea with destroyers USS Nicholas, USS LaVallette, and USS Taylor arrived at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
11 Mar 1944 Carriers USS Corregidor and USS Coral Sea with destroyers USS Nicholas, USS LaVallette, and USS Ellet departed Pearl Harbor, Hawaii bound for the Solomon Islands.
21 Mar 1944 Carriers USS Corregidor and USS Coral Sea with destroyers USS Nicholas, USS LaVallette, and USS Ellet arrived at Tulagi, Solomon Islands.
4 Jun 1944 USS Honolulu and USS St. Louis departed Tulagi, Solomon Islands bound for Roi at Kwajalein, Marshall Islands, joining carriers USS Corregidor and USS Coral Sea while at sea.
5 Jun 1944 At sea, battleships USS New Mexico, USS Idaho, and USS Pennsylvania joined with aircraft carriers USS Corregidor and USS Coral Sea with cruisers USS Honolulu and USS St. Louis and continued on toward Kwajalein.
8 Jun 1944 Battleships USS New Mexico, USS Idaho, and USS Pennsylvania with aircraft carriers USS Corregidor and USS Coral Sea and cruisers USS Honolulu and USS St. Louis arrived at Roi at Kwajalein, Marshall Islands.
10 Jun 1944 Battleships USS New Mexico, USS Idaho, and USS Pennsylvania with aircraft carriers USS Corregidor and USS Coral Sea and cruisers USS Honolulu and USS St. Louis departed Kwajalein bound for the invasion of the Mariana Islands.
15 Sep 1944 While at San Diego, escort carrier USS Coral Sea was renamed USS Anzio.
18 Nov 1944 Ships and aircraft from the hunter-killer group built around escort carrier USS Anzio conducted a coordinated attack 350 miles east of the Philippines on the submerged Japanese submarine I-41 commanded by LtCdr Kondo Fumitake. Destroyer escort USS Lawrence C. Taylor launched a successful spread of Hedgehog anti-submarine mortars and the I-41 was lost with all hands. Other ships in the Anzio group were USS Melvin R. Nawman, USS Tabberer, USS Oliver Mitchell, and USS Robert F. Keller.
13 Feb 1945 Destroyer escort USS Tabberer arrived off Saipan, Mariana Islands and delivered a supply convoy. Tabberer then sailed with escort carrier USS Anzio and destroyer USS Ralph Talbot for Iwo Jima.
16 Feb 1945 USS Anzio, USS Tabberer, and the rest of their task group arrived southwest of Iwo Jima where the carriers launched pre-invasion strikes against the island.
26 Feb 1945 45 miles west of Iwo Jima, Japanese submarine I-368 was spotted on the surface by US Navy Lt(jg) F.M. Fay flying a TBM-1C Avenger from USS Anzio. The Avenger released a Mark 24 FIDO acoustic homing torpedo and I-368 was lost with all 86 hands.
12 Mar 1945 USS Steamer Bay, USS Anzio, and USS Tabberer arrived at San Pedro Bay, Leyte, Philippines.
27 Mar 1945 USS Anzio and USS Tabberer arrived on station off Okinawa and remained for 52 days covering the landings there.
31 Mar 1945 In the Philippine Sea, Japanese submarine I-361 with its deck loaded with five Kaitens was spotted on the surface by US Navy Lt(jg) Sam Stovall flying a TBM-3E Avenger from USS Anzio. The Avenger released a Mark 24 FIDO acoustic homing torpedo and I-361 was lost with all 76 hands plus the five Kaiten pilots.
5 Aug 1946 Anzio was decommissioned from service.

It looks like all of page 1 and most of page 2 of the photographs are incorrectly identified as the USS Coral Sea.

This ship was commissioned as the USS Coral Sea in 1943 and was renamed USS Anzio in 1944. The photos you referenced were taken before the name change so they are captioned correctly for their respective dates. The carrier we are most familiar with named USS Coral Sea was a Midway-class carrier commissioned in 1947, a different ship.
