ww2dbaseU-3042 was laid down at the AG Weser shipyard of Deschimag in Bremen, Germany in Dec 1944. In Feb 1945, still on the slipways, she was seriously damaged during an Allied air raid on Bremen, leading to her not becoming completed. She was scrapped in place after the war.
