- The VCheKa (All-Russian Extraordinary Commission for Combating Counter-Revolution, Speculation, Sabotage and Misconduct in Office) issued the order to arrest members of all political parties except for the Bolsheviks, businessmen, land owners, and priests, setting the precedence for similar mass-arrests of "enemies of the people" of the Stalin-era. ww2dbase [CPC]
