- Greek National Army defeated the communists, marking the end of the Greek Civil War. ww2dbase [CPC]
- Tang Enbo relocated his headquarters from Xiamen, Fujian Province, China to Kinmen (Quemoy) island 10 kilometers east of Xiamen.
