- The Czechoslovakian National Assembly elected Dr. Emil Hacha as the president of the republic. The official name of the country was changed by adding a dash, becoming Czecho-Slovak Republic, or Czecho-Slovakia for short. ww2dbase [Emil Hácha | CPC]
