ww2dbaseThe Kaifeng Airfield (sometimes written in English literature as Laifeng Airfield) in Henan Province, China was the headquarters of the Chinese-American Joint Intelligence Agency during WW2, whose aerial reconnaissance missions using photographic reconnaissance variant of P-38 Lightning aircraft took off from this airfield as well as several others. The Americans departed from this facility in Sep or Oct 1945. The airfield continues to serve in a military capacity today.
