PREPARE TO LAUNCH AIRCRAFT:

Zero fighters, assigned to Carrier Akagi
Zero A1-101 flown by PO1/c Tadao Kimura, Zero A1-102 flown by Lt.Shindo Saburo
Zero A1-103 flown by Lt.Masanobu Ibusuki
Zero A1-104 flown by P3O/c Seiji Iseki
Zero A1-105 flown by PO1/c Kikue Otokuni
Zero A1-154 flown by PO1/c Takeshi Hirano KIA shotdown by anti-aircraft fire crashed.
CARRIER AIR GROUP:
Akagi carried 64 aircraft with 18 spare a/c 18 Mitsubishi Zeros, 27 Nakajima B5N Kate Torpedo Bombers and 18 Aichi Val Type 99 Dive Bombers.
LOST OVER PEARL:
Her Air Group lost one A6M2 Zero and four
Aichi Type 99 Dive Bombers w/crews
Photograph shows second wave ready to launch attack against Pearl Harbor.
Crewmen are standing by ready to remove wheel chocks. Behind the Zeros are Aichi Type 99 Dive Bombers.
Note*
The 18 spare aircraft, were not operational the fuselage, wings and other assemblies were stored/hung against the hanger walls or above out of the way.
