Trying to find out more information on grandfather who was on USS wasp. After being torpedo he went on to the Fletcher class destroyer to finish the war out. His name was Charles Allen Sawyer born in Indiana. Was trying to find more information on regards to my grandfather. I'm the oldest grandchild that recall certain things he told me when I was younger. Any body know how to find out more information? Your help would be highly appreciated. Trying to pass the knowledge to my son. Thanks in advance for any help!
