SETTING SUN: DECOYS
First aircraft is a Japanese Navy Nakajima B6N "Jill" torpedo bomber, and a Nakajima Ki 27 single-seat 27 "Nate" Army fighter while the third aircraft is nothing more than a pile of junk.
During WWII both the Allies and Axis forces used side-line aircraft as airfield decoys. Ground forces would place as many anti-aircraft weapons around the field, to bate fighters and bombers to shoot down aircraft making strafing runs...
