This aircraft returned from an aborted bombing mission after two hours in the air due to the navigator’s faulty electric suit. The airplane came in with a full load of bombs and fuel but landed long by about 1,000 feet and ran off the end of the runway, collapsing the front wheel. The damage throughout the aircraft was substantial enough that the airplane was written off and salvaged for parts.
