I'm looking for the full name of Chaplain Witherspoon. I have a photo of my Dad, a Marine Officer, with a Buddhist priest in Kashing? China in the early 1930s.

Grateful for the photograph since my father served under Adm Harry Yarnell on the USS Isabel in China. I am aware of Yarnell's foresight in planning the raid on Pearl and carrying out the maneuvers which Yamamoto copied while the "battleship admirals" (still fighting the last war) did not think Yarnell's efforts was a success, one which FDR ignored(?)Read-THE ASPIRIN AGE. In addition to this, we were warned to leave China "prior" to the Pearl incident, by Chaplain Witherspoon, leaving the obvious open to question.
