He-111H-3 (V4+IP) of 7th Staffel KG.1 during the Battle of Britain Luftwaffe bomber crews now carried heaver armament to fight of RAF fighters.
Aircraft were armed w/1 x 20 20mm MG FF cannon in nose position. 1 x 13mm MG 131 machine gun in upper dorsal turret, 2 x 7.92mm (twin) MG81Z port and starboard positions and
2 x 7.92mm (twin) MG81Z in for and aft position in lower ventral positions.
Some bomber crews had 1 x 20mm cannon added, to replace one 7.92mm MG81Z (twin machine gun) in forward ventral position.


The He-111H-3 could carry
(32) 110lb, or (8) 551lb bombs or (16) 110lb bombs in bomb bay, (1) 2,204lb bomb on external PVC rack, (1) 1,410lb and (1) 1,102lb bomb externally.

He-111H-3 code letters are (V4+IR), of 7th Staffel for III./KG.1 shows all correct codes plus Staffel emblem that's visible just above tail swastika.
Gruppe later converted to the Junkers Ju-88 twin-engine bomber.


Looking closer, He-111H-3 code (V4+IP), is really coded(V4+IR)...
