The medal around Gen Falkenhorst’s neck is the Brandenburg Order of St. John’s Cross with Crown signifying Falkenhorst’s position as a Knight of Justice of the Order of St. John of the Hospital at Jerusalem. Falkenhorst usually wore this cross as secondary to his Knight’s Cross, it is not clear why that is not this case here.
