Mitsubishi G4M2e "Betty" of 721st Naval Air Group, 711th Attack Squadron wait orders to
launch the mission.
The 721st was based at Konoike Air Base March 1945 this aircraft could belong to the First, Second or Third Section. The G4M2e
bombers were modified to carry the Yokosuka MXY7 Ohka Model 11 nicknamed Baka or fool by the Americans.
A total of 185 G4Ms were used, 118 were shot-down, with 438 crew KIA including 56 special attack/kamikaze pilots among them.
