PROTECTNG THE EMPIRE:

File photo of Mitsubishi J2M3 Raiden prototype, at the Air Arsenal date October 1943.
Mitsubishi built 260 of the J2M3 model.
When US forces captured Clark Field in the Philippines, the Japanese abandoned different types of aircraft, among them were a few J2M3 Raiden. The aircraft were made airworthy and test
flown. Any information gained from testing captured Japanese aircraft, was sent to Allied pilots.
