The ship seen in the foreground is one of two accompanying fleet oilers: USS Cimarron (AO-22) or USS Sabine (AO-25) [I think it’s the Cimarron, but I have nothing solid to back that up]. The ship in the background is one of the four accompanying Gleaves-class destroyers: USS Gwin (DD-433), USS Meredith (DD-434), USS Grayson (DD-435), or USS Monssen (DD-436).
