Famous WW2 Quote
"With Germany arming at breakneck speed, England lost in a pacifist dream, France corrupt and torn by dissension, America remote and indifferent... do you not tremble for your children?"Winston Churchill, 1935

THE RUSSKIES EPISODE ONE:
During WWII the Red Army captured vast amounts of
German Military Equipment. Some of these items were used against their former owners, while other
captured equipment was shipped back to Mother Russia tested and evaluated. Let's see what Ivan has picked up.
Sd.Kfz 234 series armored car production totaled 500 vehicles of all types, some reached the troops while others were destroyed in transit few
wartime photos exist of these vehicles even fewer
survived the war.
This version is the Sd.Kfz234/4 that mounted the long barrel 75mm main gun how many of these vehicles were captured is unknown or how long they were in operation, but the troops look like there having a good time smiling for the camera, just maybe the war is over for them and they are on the way back to Mother Russia...
DRESS RIGHT DRESS: UNIFORM OF THE DAY
Looks like the troops are wearing the M35 Piloka side cap, M35 Gymnasterka tunic worn w/shoulder boards outside the trousers w/high leather boots
and all of the uniformed troops are wearing their medals.
Only weapons I can identify, is the captured MP40 the rifles could be Mosin-Nagant,7.62 x 54mm the man in civilian clothes could be a local Communist or a NKVD Agent assigned to monitor the troops...so keep smiling.
