Photograph taken at the USAF Museum, located in Dayton, Ohio, USA. The "George was refurbished by the Champlin Fighter Museum, located in Arizona, USA the airplane is not flyable.

COMBAT DAMAGE:

During its service with the IJNAF the fighter saw combat during its restoration, bullet holes were found in the wings, two-bullet holes in the engine cowling, another bullet hole found in the upper part of the fuselage and one bullet hitting the landing gear battle damage was not repaired during restoration showing evidence of combat during WWII.

SAVED FROM MISUSE:

This is the very same "George" that was left in outdoor display for decades, at Willow Grove NAS
