CAPTURED WULF:

Focke-Wulf FW190G-3 Wk. Nr. 160057 was one of two 190's captured by ground crews of the 85th Fighter Squadron, 79th Fighter Group at Gerbini Air Field, Island of Sicily September 1943

FLYING COLORS:

Fighter repainted and later shipped to the USA in January 1944. In 1945 the 190 was repainted again in the US three-tone scheme of non-specular Intermediate Blue and Insignia White it was evaluated and tested NAS Anacostia and at NAS Patuxent River in February 1945 as FE-116
(FE) Foreign Equipment
