To anonymous of 1 Aug 2024: The Shan-Li-Shih-Chin mentioned by USMC Major General Keller Emrick Rockey is likely to be Shanlishijia Village (Shanlishijia Cun, 山里石家村) in Shandong Province, about 100 kilometers north of the port city of Qingdao. Rough coordinates 36.9 N, 120.16 E. Even through today it is a very rural area. Here is a different report that mentioned the crash: https://apps.dtic.mil/sti/tr/pdf/ADA438971.pdf

Late Dec 1945 7th Fleet in Pacific: 6 Helldivers crashed near Shan-Li-Shih-Chin (36-54;120-08). Dead fliers recovered by the Communist. Crash as result of snow storm. From the National Archives.
