According to the Navy Muster Rolls, Earl H Johnston, service number 600 82 55, was received aboard the USS Burrfish from the Portsmouth Navy Yard NH on 14 Sep 1943 upon the submarine’s commissioning (plank owner) and was transferred off the boat 19 Dec 1944 as a MoMM2c to Submarine Division 321.

Thank you David! My dad passed away 11 years ago and is buried at the Saratoga National Cemetary. He did not share much o.about his time in the service, only how proud he was to serve. I wish I knew more but it was great of you to share this information ! I am so curious about it all.
