This film was 'Operation Amsterdam', a British film produced by Rank Studios and directed by Michael McCarthy. Starring Peter Finch and Eva Bartok, the film was based on the true story of an operation by the British government during the German Invasion of the Netherlands in May 1940. Two Dutch diamond experts and a British intelligence officer are sent to Holland in order to retrieve Dutch govt stocks of industrial diamonds from a vault in Amsterdam before the city falls to the German invaders.
The BF-108 was at the time of filming serving as a trainer in the Dutch air-force and was used to portray a German BF-109E fighter.
