The official USAAF caption for this photo says this mission was against railroads in the Staz di Ceraino area, also in the Brenner Pass region, but this is incorrect. Other elements of the 321 BG did strike Staz di Ceraino on the same day but the element shown here, the 445th Bomb Squadron, bombed San Michele according to 321 BG mission reports.
