This photograph appeared in many US newspapers and became reasonably well-known. In the 1970s, this image became the inspiration for a storyboard drawing for a Hollywood movie and although the pilot carrying the charts was seen on film running in the opposite direction, the imagery is immediately recognizable in the X-wing hangar scene in Star Wars (1977).
