Great pic indeed. The position of the original "Q" center turret on the foc'sle deck is clearly visible here. This is a deck higher than the preceding Cavours. These Q turrets were removed during extensive modernization in the '30s, to make room for more powerful machinery. The 12" guns were bored out to 12.6" at this time.
