TBD-1 of VT-6 dropping its Bliss Leavitt Mk. 13 torpedo. The weapon weighed one ton and
was 15 ft long, 18 inches in diameter.
Torpedo could not be dropped at speeds above
140mph, and a loaded TBD could barely exceed
that speed.
