I have seen this photo on the internet with differing captions. Do you know the origin of the photo? What does the May 20, 1942 date refer to? Thanks

My father was in this march, I only heard the full story of what these men faced after his death. I uncle told me bits of information. This was so sad, so very sad. I can only say the ones who were able to leave this camp were very blessed men. My dad lived.. I am the last one in our family alive and I have at age 65 found out so much more about those days. My dad never talked about that time to my sister or I. I am so greatful that there are places to research my dads life at that time...God Bless all these brave men...

This photo DOES NOT show dead Americans, this pic shows US soldiers resting on the ground because of heat exhaustion. Notice the cloths on their foreheads, their feet propped up with their shoes. This photo has had wrong caption for many years and I have and other colleagues have found the truth of this photo...

Famous WW2 Quote
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."Winston Churchill
