Ew. This is a very meaningful photo that marks an important date in history, but still. Ew. At least it's not a close up.

This should have been filmed, then again maybe it was and held secret. Many records of the Nazi regime have been classified as secret, reports not to be opened until the year 2045. So what else are Government hiding that are filed away maybe more than we'll ever really know in our lifetime... THESE ARE MY COMMENTS AND NOT THE VIEWS OF THE EDITOR/WW2DB OF ANYWAY...

DEATH BY CYANIDE: DIE NOW OR DIE LATER Himmler was arrested by the British in Northern Germany trying to escape to Switzerland. This man who was responsible for the death's of millions was trying to save his own hide, and was nothing but a coward. Questioned by the British this little man was identified as Heinrich Himmler and not as a soldier named Heinrich Hitzinger. As Himmler was being searched, he bit on a cyanide capsule and died at once. DEAD MEN TELL NO TAILS: Speculation, and Conspiracy Theories where does the truth start and end. Towards the end of the war, Himmler made secret overtures to of all people, the British, was his death a coverup if so what was the real reason. Whatever the truth the peole involved will take the truth with them to their graves. CYA: COVER YOUR ASSISTS Was Himmler killed by the British to stop any known inter-peace dealings. The Allies called for German unconditional surrender and it would have been embarrassing for the British arranging peace talks with one of Nazi Germany's most notorious men. German agents traveled to Sweden to work out a deal, if so what became of it and who knew, but somebody knows something. If Himmler lived to stand trial, he could have spilled the beans on many things...so he's better off dead, if so the question still remains, was he killed and did he really kill himself, why was he buried in an unmarked grave and why no autopsy or was the man a double? All documents relating to what really happened remain secret, locked away in Government archives not to be declassified until the year 2045. ODD MAN OUT: Is it possible that Himmler couldn't remain alive we've got him before he could talk to the Americans. Could we take steps to eliminate him, if so it must be expedited without haste... Sounds like a Hollywood movie but truth is sometimes stranger than fiction.
