Wars maybe fought using technology, but its
the man with a rifle with bayonet that gets
the other guy our of his fox hole and makes him sign the surrender papers.
The field soldier is dirty, tired, wet, cold
needs sleep, worn the same uniform for weeks
needs a shave a bath, and hot food.
I'm pround to say, I was a field soldier.
