Select "full resolution": Near the ride side is a pair of light colored buildings; Pavlov's House is the left one, with the smoke plume.

View of the northern area of central Stalingrad. --Looking down southeast (contoured) slopes of Mamaev Kurgan.
Buildings in center foreground are just beyond the rail line at the base of the kurgan.
Krasnaya Sloboda is the town seen on the far side of the Volga. Stranded barge is visible on the far side of the river.
The smokestack of the flour mill near Pavlov's House is visible about 1/5 of the way in from the right edge of the photo.
