As a British army officer during the Boer
War, Churchill armed himself with the 9mm
Mauser C-69 "Broomhandle" pistol.
Feed system held 6,10 or 20 rounds, Mauser
even made a 40 round detachable drum magazine
for this weapon, over 1,000,000 were built.
For you Sci-Fi fans, Hans Solo carried a
modified prop pistol of the C-69 in the
Star Wars films.
