Another December, another anniversary! Today WW2DB celebrates its 12th birthday. Per tradition, here is a snapshot of website statistics, showing growth since one year ago.

• 315 aircraft models (+4)
• 179 vehicle models (+2)
• 316 weapon models (+0)
• 95 historical documents (+6)
• 128 facilities (+18)
• 426 books reviewed (+29)
• 23,760 photos (+1,202)
• 274 maps (+4)
• 17,510 visitor comments (+1,774)

On the social media front:

• 156,169 Facebook likes (+4,812)
• 11,600 Twitter followers (+3,605)
• 224 Google+ followers (+17)
• 2,543 Pinterest followers (new)

In 2016, WW2DB released a new mobile site. In addition, back-end functionalities are always being tweaked for better performance. Unfortunately, in the past year the team had to deal with a sharp increase in plagiarism and denial of service attacks, so a great deal of effort had to be diverted to those areas.
