Holocaust Denier Jailed

20 Feb 2006

"I made a mistake when I said there were no gas chambers at Auschwitz," David Irving admitted. In 1989, he denied that Germany under the rule of the Nazi Party murdered millions of Jews. Addtionally, he also said that the existence of gas chambers at concentration camps was a hoax. Today, the British historian admitted that he knew little of the Holocaust and had made mistakes in his previous statements, but he said he made the statements entirely true to what he had known at the time. He was sentenced by Austrian court to three years in prison.
