Contributions of WW2 Women Journalists
Contributor: Bryan Hiatt
While many students of history know the work of Robert Capa and Ernie Pyle, still fewer know of the contributions of women journalists. This online exhibition sponsored by The Library of Congress features the work of Therese Bonney, Toni Frissell, Marvin Breckinridge Patterson, Clare Boothe Luce, Janet Flanner, Esther Bubley, Dorothea Lange, and May Craig. While there are several overseas photos to view, much of the home front photography (both in the US and UK) is worthy of further study.
