4 Feb 1942 | US submarine USS Sculpin attacked Japanese destroyer Sukukaze at mouth of Staring Bay near Kendari, Celebes, Dutch East Indies, causing damaging to the destroyer and killing 9 of her crew. |
28 Sep 1942 | USS Sculpin hit Japanese seaplane carrier Nisshin with torpedoes east of Kokoda Island, Bismarck Archipelago. |
19 Nov 1943 | The US submarine Sculpin was scuttled by her crew after being severely damaged by Japanese destroyers off Truk, Caroline Islands. |
