|13 Apr 1942||USS Grayling sank Japanese vessel Ryujin Maru 60 miles south of Japan at 2100 hours.|
|9 Sep 1943||The US submarine Grayling was missing, presumed rammed and sunk by a Japanese vessel, whilst on patrol off Manila, Philippine Islands.|
