ww2dbaseThe Type 38 75 mm Field Gun design came from the German armaments manufacturer Krupp. While the initial few examples were made in Germany, the remainder of the 2,000 guns were built domestically in Japan by the Osaka Arsenal. During the inter-war years, many of the Type 38 guns along with the carriages were modified, improving the range, rate of fire, and other characteristics; an additional 400 new examples were built according to the Type 38 Improved specifications. During WW2, they were used in China. Although by the time the Pacific War opened in Dec 1941 they were obsolete, they remained in active service until 1945.

Famous WW2 Quote
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."

Winston Churchill
