ww2dbaseThe Type 3 8-centimeter anti-aircraft guns were developed by the Japanese Navy, entering service in 1914. After serving in WW1 in their intended role, by the time war broke out in Asia in the 1930s, they had largely been relegated to shore defense duties. These sliding breech block guns had a maximum ceiling of 10,800 meters, though their effective range was only about 8,000 meters.Source: Wikipedia ww2dbase
