  • Philippe Pétain's visited a school in village Périgny in Allier department, France. Périgny was praised by the radio reporter M. Jean Masson as an ideal traditional village, thus selected for visit by Pétain. Children sang La Marseillaise, which was officially not allowed by Germany, at the end of the radio program. ww2dbase [Périgny, Auvergne | CPC]
