- The last sortie of the Berlin Airlift was made when an RAF Hastings aircraft, captained by Flight Lieutenant H. D. Harper, delivered a cargo of coal from RAF Schleswigland in northern Germany to RAF Gatow in Berlin, Germany. ww2dbase [AC]
