- Vannevar Bush took the British Military Application of Uranium Detonation (MAUD) Committee Report to US President Franklin Roosevelt, who agreed to work together with the British to develop atomic weapons. ww2dbase [Main Article | CPC]
- The Jager Report (issued on 1 Dec 1941) noted that 1,169 adult male, 1,840 adult female, and 717 children, all Jews, were killed in Svenciany, Lithuania for a total of 3,726 people. ww2dbase [Main Article | CPC]
